Meet The DDCSP Univeristy of Michigan Team:

Dr. Dorceta E. Taylor, Program Director and Principal Investigator Dr. Taylor is a distinguished professor at the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). She oversees the programming and strategic development for DDCSP at University of Michigan. She authored the most comprehensive report on diversity in the mainstream environmental movement, “Diversity in the Environmental Institutions: Mainstream NGOS, Foundations & Government Agencies,” commissioned by Green 2.0, which called for programs like DDCSP to diversify the conservation workforce. She is also the author of three books focused on environmental history and environmental justice.

Kafi Laramore-Josey, Program Manager Kafi serves as the logistics and administrative coordinator for DDCSP UM. She is also the staff liaison to the internship organizations who work with year 2 scholars.

Beatriz Cañas, Program Manager Beatriz serves as the curriculum and professional development coordinator for DDCSP UM. She is also the staff liaison to the research mentors who are part of the Year 1 scholar research experience.
